The Marijane Toney
House
The Marijane Toney House is the first of two transitional housing
programs for families operated by Choices, Inc.  With its doors
opening to clients in 2000, the Marijane Toney House offers its
residents the opportunity to move from homelessness to
self-sufficiency as a unified family.  It is a transitional shelter that
provides the opportunity for women who have been separated
from their children, or who are at risk of separation due to
poverty, imprisonment, substance abuse or neglect - to live
together in a safe, supervised, residential setting.

Support services are provided, as well as social and recreational
activities to afford the families opportunities to develop personal
relationships and enhance social skills.  Support services continue
for six months after families move from the house.
